Hi, i am downloaded and burned the first CD OSS installation CD. Due to limited number of CD and fast internet connection, i wish to install via ftp. After mounting the NIC, I can't find installation file on ftp server. I am using ftp://mirror.ac.uk/edunfs/mirrors/sites/ftp.suse.com/i386/10.0/iso/ Is this the right place to install via ftp? If not, can you point me to a right directory. I am fast access to mirror.ac.uk and wondering if there is direct installation files available on the ftp server. Thanks for your help! Regards, Kai

No. Try ftp://mirror.ac.uk/edunfs/mirrors/sites/ftp.suse.com/i386/current instead.

hello Kai, The heanet mirror in ireland is on the JANET backbone so this should be suitable for you. You could also please vote to have the official academic mirror service include opensuse.org as well as suse.com mirrors. http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.opensuse.org/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-...

Hi Kai, Here's a set of links that should work if you can't find anything closer. I've had a problem refreshing the YaST source I had for Packman, so I'll leave that for others to clarify. ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source-java ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/suse/i386/10.0/SUSE-Linux10.0-GM-Extra ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/suse/i386/10.0/inst-source-extra Good luck & regards, Carl
