I don't have a 64-bit system, and as far as I know, I don't have any need for openmotif22-libs.
To determine package requirements execute the following command sequence: user@localhost:~> rpm -q --whatrequires <PACKAGE>
So, rpm says "no package requires openmotif22-libs". Now, how do I get opensuse-updater to not show it as a necessary optional update?
...or is this the same question that's already under discussion?

Most likely this is just a bug in the update system. The opensuse-updater(which binary depends on window manager) has two modes of operation. One(1) is the utilization of the rpm package manager library. Two(2) is the utilization of the zmd daemon. You can check your system for a running zmd daemon to determine which mode of operation is being utilized. This should help to narrow down the root cause. Whether it is within the binary, daemon, or library is beyond me. I am sure there are far more seasoned opensuse minds within this list that may provide guidance. Possibly it could even be a misconfigration within the update repository. Please cc me as you navigate the issue. I would like to know for sure myself. ;) Cheers. Thomas

Hopefully only bad package.

That is updater in 10.2, and discussed update is for 10.3. I have that update as well.
