It works if you select to use ftp.suse.com and not a mirror. I wonder if this is related to the earlier bug report about a messed up rsync configuration on ftp.suse.com. I wonder if Chris saw that message, since it was sent to the list and not to ftp-admin as it should have been. This mail cc. him just in case

That was the index file being broken (and since recreated). No one rsyncs from ftp.suse.com but there are a few mirrors that insist on using ftp instead of rsync: distro.ibiblio.org ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de -- -ckm
