[opensuse] Games_realtime_repository returns xml error
Hi folks, I am running openSUSE 10.3 and smart as default package manager. I've added many repositories from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/. It all worked perfect since 10.1. Yesterday I made an update and installed patches and some packages. All repos xml files were in good order except games/realtime branch. I got an error message which says: error: Invalid XML file: error: /var/lib/smart/channels/Games_Strategy_Realtime%%http:__download.opensuse.org_repositories_games:_strategy:_realtime_openSUSE_10.3_repodata_repomd.xml error: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/games:/strategy:/realtime/openSUSE... error: not well-formed (invalid token): line 37, column 34 I removed the channel and updated the repo information. Smart did not report any errors. I added the games/realtime branch and updated the repo information and I got the same error message which I mentioned above. I think there is a malformed repomd.xml file in the repo. Did anyone get a similar error message? If so who is in charge of the repo so I can inform her/him about the situation. -- Gökşin Akdeniz http://www.enixma.org http://www.linuxnet.com.tr FEDORA TURKIYE MAIL LIST http://groups.google.com.tr/group/fedora-turkey

games:/strategy:/realtime is a yum repository (see yast2 -> 'Software Repositories') to add it to SMART do: edit -> channels -> New -> provide channel information -> RPM Metadata add the url ( http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/games:/strategy:/realtime/openSUSE... ) choose an alias ( Games_RTS ) and your done. -- Regards, Aniruddha Please adhere to the OpenSUSE_mailing_list_netiquette http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_mailing_list_netiquette -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I suggest you retry with my exact instructions. I just tested it and it works fine for me. -- Regards, Aniruddha Please adhere to the OpenSUSE_mailing_list_netiquette http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_mailing_list_netiquette -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Probles is fixed. I removed the channel and updated all channels left. I added the repo again and updated only the new channel. I did not get an error. I think removing a channel and updating channel(s) info is essential for smart. Thanks for your advice. -- Gökşin Akdeniz http://www.enixma.org http://www.linuxnet.com.tr FEDORA TURKIYE MAIL LISTESI http://groups.google.com.tr/group/fedora-turkey
