I didn't dare suggest that myself ... not a capital T, and 0.255TiB is also ~260GiB so why not write it like that? Not to mention, this laptop doesn't use in swap. Btw, it hasn't changed since this morning. Remains solid at 0.255t. New screenshot - more processes with 0.2NNt .... http://files.jessen.ch/0.2NNt.jpeg plasmashell, krunner, dolphin (4), baloo_file. I swear, I'm not making this up. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (22.4°C) http://www.cloudsuisse.com/ - your owncloud, hosted in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Hi,
this seems to be something KDE related. According to the answers it's
nothing to worry about.
Regards,
Eugen

Oh I'm not worried at all, I'm curious! There is one answer here suggesting it is indeed t = Tib : https://serverfault.com/questions/753809/linux-top-in-res-what-does-the-t-su... Okay, even if the swap space has no room for these sizes, I guess processes could allocate them, as long as they're not used ? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (20.7°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
I have krunner reporting a similar value:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
18544 eblock 20 0 0,252t 143892 99852 S 0,000 1,760 0:02.43 krunner
It doesn't have any impact on my system (virtual machine Leap 42.3).
Maybe someone with more technical background can explain better what
these values mean.

Friday is pretty much done (CET), doesn't someone have a suggestion as to why plasmashell, krunner, dolphin and baloo_file should be having such huge amounts (260GiB) of virtual memory? It just doesn't sound quite right. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (17.9°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
