If anyone has actually seen IE 4/5 running on HP-UX or Solaris would you enlighten us on performance etc?
** Their website claims they've included several million lines ** of the Windows source code into their product, which allows ** Windows programs to be developed under Unix and Linux.
That sounds like a bad idea. Integrating Windows source code would make it unreliable and slow... Slower than Wine!

Will IE for Solaris run under Linux if we install iBCS? Yup, ran it once here. It was unbelievably slow, ugly and used a huge amount of memory. After a short while it just hung. Never wanted to try it again. It made Netscape look sleek and fast! Still I'm sure M$ only did it so that they could put up the web page saying how primitive Unix is. A descent browser is an absolute must if Linux is to have any chance on the desktop and netscape just doesn't cut it I'm afraid. Still what with opera and mozilla just around the corner things will surely improve.
