KDE 3.0.4 is a newer version which can be installed via YOU.

Yes, but IMHO only security updates are installed automatically. If you want KDE 3.0.4 then click with the right mouse button on the "KDE 3.0.4 update" icon in the upper left YOU panel. A menu will appear, select update and continue with the installation. KDE 3.0.4 packages will be downloaded and installed. Also note that some KDE 3.0.5 packages (security fixes) will be installed but not the whole KDE 3.0.5. I think the current version of YOU in 8.1 is not intuitive enough and should be improved.
Will installing them crash my default suse reccommended installs?
I don't think so. -- Alexandr.Malusek@imv.liu.se
