In your browser, go to Preferences->Content->Languages and put English at the top, then refresh the page. It's normal Apache content negotiation, but could probably use an override menu on the page too. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (18.1°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I do have English at top (FF 60, Windows in the office) and still get Release notes in Russian, which is terrible. -- Mark Goldstein -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That's weird - I have English at the top, I get them in English, I switch to German I get them in German. FF52 on Leap42.3. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (18.8°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I'll re-check at home with FF52. Good that I have not updated to 60 yet (because of some extensions I use). -- Mark Goldstein -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I have just tried it with FF60 on my leap15 test desktop - works for me, swapping between e.g. English and German. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (20.0°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I had this issue to so I have switched to the Waterfox browser. It is current, based on a more recent codebase than the ESR, the maintainers are backporting security fixes from FF Quantum, but almost all the old XUL extensions still work. Sadly there's no SUSE package or RPM but the tarball works fine. -- Liam Proven - Technical Writer, SUSE Linux s.r.o. Displays in English for me, too. Using Leap 42.3 and FF 60.0.1 If I change preferences to Spanish, I get them in Spanish. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

My preferences were EN-US fist, then RU and others and only at the end EN (my usual setting). I moved EN above RU and eventually I see normal English Release notes. But I agree than language picker should be added. -- Mark Goldstein -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

that's a good hint: I didn't have english [en] first, and switching from german to english didn't work though english [en-us] was on top. Adding english [en] on top switching works. Great! Thanks! It's normal Apache content negotiation, but could probably use an override menu on the page too. I know how to get around this, but I think this is one of the cases where the visitor should have the opportunity to read the english original text.
