[opensuse] Leap 15.0 repo question
We have an internal mirror that we use in house. I have one machine out of many where I get this error when trying to do updates. Just started happening. Just noticed today actually. File './repodata/263f5a933ae8bc1d1e8ed28ad2c01ee131a313f7e927dfde002b664bab50d2dc-primary.xml.gz' not found on medium 'http://opensuse.cc.local/update/leap/15.0/oss/' So it appears the problem is local to this one machine. How to fix the machine? Thanks Mark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

IIRC, this is to do with the type of repo specified on the machine. I think Carlos posted something about that in the last couple of days. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (23.8°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I removed the type from the file and did a zypper ref. Same error though and it put the type back in. Mark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Sorry, I guess I was wrong about this type issue. Well, on my own local mirror, the file you're missing does not exist either. Same on rsync.o.o. FWIW, both have this instead: 7357dfa158e152925de6e19513f559312d83668d5f0043f714525bfaf61359e5-primary.xml.gz That file is referenced by 'repodata/repomd.xml' - # l repodata/repomd.xml -rw-r--r-- 1 per users 3109 Aug 14 14:10 repodata/repomd.xml -- Per Jessen, Zürich (17.6°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

So it appears the problem is local to this one machine. How to fix the machine?
Are you sure that it only affects this single machine? My guess would be that your internal mirror was synced while the public mirror was just updating, and you now have a half-updated repodata directory on your local mirror. I'd recommend to a) try on other machines if they show similar problems and b) let your internal mirror do another sync (and watch what files it fetches) If the problem really only affects a single machine, try zypper clean -a to clear the local cache. Regards, Christian Boltz -- I live in Canada with plenty of experience with both. U.S. and UK English are close enough that there's not much difficulty in understanding the other. The main problem is getting the people in England to actually speak English. ;-) [James Knott in opensuse-factory] -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Come to find out, the other machines had not yet switched to the internal mirror. My bad.

That was it. Thanks. This morning after its nightly sync, all is well. Kind Regards Mark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
