Hello,
Am I the only onw having troubles with the speed of Bugzilla.Novell.com? It takes ages before I get a screen and to submit bugreports.
Caused by two problems: - your internet connection (modem, ISDN) - the obese webpage [2] [2] 'wget -p' does not work so I just saved the front page with Firefox. 196KB total Divide that by 7.2 KB/sec (average ISDN speed) == 27.2 seconds. "You gotta be shittin me!", Novell. -rw-r--r-- 1 jengelh users 5229 2006-09-11 14:11 darkdotbg.html -rw-r--r-- 1 jengelh users 6006 2006-09-11 14:11 hdr_script_light.js -rw-r--r-- 1 jengelh users 10376 2006-09-11 14:11 test_city_128.png -rw-r--r-- 1 jengelh users 10440 2006-09-11 14:11 bug3.jpg -rw-r--r-- 1 jengelh users 12154 2006-09-11 14:11 main_dom.js -rw-r--r-- 1 jengelh users 13556 2006-09-11 14:11 layout.css -rw-r--r-- 1 jengelh users 17002 2006-09-11 14:11 superstats.js -rw-r--r-- 1 jengelh users 18156 2006-09-11 14:11 index.cgi.html Jan Engelhardt --

It has nothing to do with connection. I have very fast broadband, able to download a full CD iso in under 15 minutes, and I often have to wait very long before _anything_ happens when trying to load any Novell bugzilla page. It got better after the below bug was fixed, but it is still not right. There's more likely a 3rd problem, as the language "ages *before* getting a screen" indicates, browser incompatibility with the site's TLS configuration. At least for Firefox (count also as SeaMonkey), the others are not on my system anymore but I guess that they will use the KDE-config. Azerion

Hmm, may be not the workaround. It does work now when I just enter the url again while waiting. So just move the cursor into the URL-bar and enter again and again. By the 3rd time it loads en from that moment on there are no problems more. It takes only a ...... compared to waiting. Azerion
