[SLE] ReiserFS in SuSE 7.0
Hi, ReiserFS in SuSE 7.0 still has a 2Gb file-limit. ext2 does not. ( I tested this and verified ) Does someone know if this is to change ? Also, does someone know if there are plans for reiserfs support in dump ? How do you take backups of a reiserfs partition ?? -tosi -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

The reiserfs 3.6.X for kernel 2.4 does support files > 2GB and will convert 3.5.X partitions when mounting them with the 'conv' option. A backport of 3.6.X to 2.2.X *is* on the todo list of the reiserfs coders, but I have no knowledge when it'll be done/released.

Yepp, that's also on the list :)
How do you take backups of a reiserfs partition ??
