[opensuse] Broken aacraid module on x86_64 + xen in opensuse 11
Hi I posted this issue earlier with title "RAID device not recognised under opensuse 11 running xen on a Sun X4150" and can now say it looks like the aacraid module does not work on a 64-bit xen kernel (opensuse 11- 2.6.25.18-0.1-default ). The module works OK with the regular kernel. Has anyone encountered similar issues? Are you certain you are running the same version of the regular kernal on the machines where it works? I just upgraded a handful of systems to 2.6.25.18 and all of them came back up -- except the one with an aacraid card. Not using Xen at all. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Hi Andrew Currently they both run 2.6.25.18-0.2, but have been through several updates all displaying the same behavior. In the absence of a working module I'm trying to get a 32 bit dom0 kernel going on 64 bit hypervisor (apparently possible) so I can use all my memory with a 32-bit setup. Bob
