[opensuse] Why does plymouth depend on suspend?
Hello, in order to use systemd for suspending I deleted the packages pm-utils and suspend. With removing suspend, plymouth was removed as well. I wonder why does plymouth need suspend!? I wonder about that as well. I removed plymouth, and parts of it (libply2, libply-splash-core2, and libply-boot-client) forced removal of package suspend, causing hibernate to fail silently. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. Note that you report the opposite of what Malte reported. plymouth needs suspend is not the same as suspend needs plymouth. And if both are true, that's most definitely a bug! Hopefully Cristian can sort it out. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I think it goes both ways. I can verify on a virtual test system when I can get it running. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. This is a bug, most likely , I will fix it for the next openSUSE release. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
