[opensuse] How can one list available OpenGL extensions?
Hello, I would like to know which OpenGL extensions are supported by an installed system. Is there a program that lists them? I've googled, but found only the proprietary glview that's not available for Linux. The background of my question is that I'm replacing an older 11.1 workstation where VMware's 3D accelaration does not work since two OpenGL extensions are missing. I want to check on the new system if they are available with the onboard Intel graphics card and 11.4, or if I need to order an additional graphics card. Thanks in advance for any answer, Joachim -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Joachim Schrod Email: jschrod@acm.org Roedermark, Germany -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Is there a program that lists them? Try glxinfo (can be found in the freeglut package) Tom -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Speaking about VMware: do they support 3D acceleration on Linux guests ? -- -Alexey Eromenko "Technologov" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Sorry, I don't know. Especially not with the current KMS changes in Linux kernels. We use either Windows guests, or have a whole bunch of older Linux and FreeBSD distribution/release combinations around as guests, to mimic customer environments.
