Yes, mplayer can use both AAlib, which is a purely ascii-based rendering of the pictures. This will work on almost any hardware imaginable. (I don't think a braille terminal would give useful output.) and SVGAlib, which gives graphical output on hardware supported by the library. If your card is VESA compatible, it will work. Regards Ole
