I have a Sprint CDMA aircard wich is recognized by linux as an active device but there is no serial driver assigned to it. My understanding is that it needs to look like a virtual serial device to the machine so that pppd can dial out. The recommendation from Qualcomm is to: modprobe usbserial vendor=0xf3d prod=0x0110 This should make a virtual serial probe in the active kernal, yet when I run dmesg there is still no device driver attached to the card. Does anyone know how modprobe usbserial works???? Yes OHCI_USB is installed as a Module in the existing kernal. Thanks! dse
