I'm using KDE 2.1.2, but you may want to try turning off antialiased fonts in the Control Centre. M

Yes, you can but you need to process these to make them known to X. Look in the script: /usr/X11R6/bin/fetchmsttfonts The fonts must be located at: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype or /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1 Op zaterdag 1 september 2001 20:10, schreef michael norman:

Sory if I'm missing something but what am I supposed to do after the console shows the microsoft licence agreement. I looked in the SDB article on anti aliasing and it said execute the command as root and follow the instructions so I did that got to the licence agreement but can't work out what to do to actually get the fonts. There seemed to be no way of accepting the agreement. Sorry if I've missed something obvious. Mike On Saturday 01 Sep 2001 2:52 pm, A Nourai wrote:

Hi michael! Ha Ha Ha halarious !! *NewsFlash* Linux end user gets hit with Microsoft License agreement when trying to download TType Fonts !! Ahh Thats a good one , I never heard of that before this, very entertaining . BTW you can just copy some TType Fonts from any word processor cd, or maybe, even those AOL disks they used to send to everyone, by mail. Get a CD, and mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom, and look for Fonts directories, I'm going to try this as well, when I get some spare time. Then copy them to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/Fonts/truetype, or Type1 , now in kde2, setup fonts with /preferences/look & feel/fonts - follow the kde help, or use the what's this '?' for info. I can see why someone would want to give a try to the xloadttfonts tool, havn't tried it yet myself, I just did like above. Also I didn't realize M$ would hit us with some silly lisence agreement just for some free fonts. well, good luck, and btw they work nicely when set up. John WM sorry for the pun, but it was just too funny to pass up, M$ has their hands in the mix wherever we look. On Sat, 01 Sep 2001, michael norman wrote:
