[opensuse] How do I save my session in KDE3?
I want to be able to save my session each time I log out of KDE 3.10, but I don't see how and it's not setup to do this by default. I tried running: dcop ksmserver default saveCurrentSession But get the error message: ERROR: Couldn't attach to DCOP server! Any help greatly appreciated. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Wow! SuSE 8.2 looks pretty, but the box thinks it's Jan 2000. I found in Control Centre -> KDE Components -> Session Manager a radio control box On Login x Restore previous session o Restore manually saved o Star with an empty session Does that work? Guess it's too late to file a bug report on Usability and say that "KDE Components" isn't very clear :) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Mine is set the same way, but it doesn't appear that setting is respected. This worked fine with 11.0, so perhaps a bug. Just curious if anyone else is seeing it. This is a clean install and not an upgrade. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You have KDE 3.10 with Open SuSE 11.0???? Or did you mean 4.1? I went and looked on a 'museum' piece, as I was sure I remember it working in the past, and having to turn it off, in favour of manual saves. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
