[opensuse] What happened to the linuxdownload.adove.com repo for 15.0?
All, Why is the adobe repo down for 15.0? It went down a couple of days ago and has not come back? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

All,
Why is the adobe repo down for 15.0? It went down a couple of days ago and has not come back? How would we know? It's not part of our infra, but Adobe's.

Because maybe someone in the community has heard something and can share? cer@Elesar:~> host linuxdownload.adove.com Host linuxdownload.adove.com not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) cer@Elesar:~> host linuxdownload.adobe.com linuxdownload.adobe.com is an alias for linuxdownload.wip4.adobe.com. linuxdownload.wip4.adobe.com has address 193.104.215.69 cer@Elesar:~> I get on firefox: Not Found The requested URL / was not found on this server. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. Right, I just figured I couldn't be the only one that noticed (NOAA weather sites still use flash) and thought somebody might have heard something. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

If you want flash, I think packman has it. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from openSUSE, Leap 15.1 x86_64 (ssd-test)) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Understood, I was just going by https://en.opensuse.org/Adobe_Flash_Player and thought some of the powers that be may have heard why it wasn't working. I figure Adobe communicates with SuSE much more than they do with David. -- David C. I figure Adobe communicates with SuSE much more than they do with David. Adobe doesn't communicate with openSUSE / SUSE. Adobe told us all years ago to avoid flash. Not just on openSUSE / SUSE, but everywhere. Flash is a giant security issue.

Regardless, Adobe must have gotten the message: Checking whether to refresh metadata for adobe Retrieving: repomd.xml ...............................................[done] Now if we can just convince NOAA to get rid of flash for their animated Doppler RADAR products -- It'd be completely done with it.... -- David C.
