export lvm volumes with nfs on sles9 sp2
dear list, I have a server with an lvm subdirectory, and I want to export the whole filesystem read only to another server. I'm using nfs to export read only. However, on there other server, I can 'see' everything, except the lvm mount. Can nfs not export lvm mounts? (obviously the lvm volumes are mounted on the server, and they work perfectly) Any ideas? (should I be using something else than nfs?) mj

Of course NFS can export lvm points. Assuming that your / is an LVM volume, just export / as usual. / 192.168.1.0/24(no_root_squash,ro,sync) (/ is a 2.4 Tb LVM volume - nothing special to it).
