Re: [SLE] Suggestion about unsubscribing

Why is it so difficult to read and follow written instructions? I'm sure every body got a copy - and another one, previously, to which we had to reply to confirm that we wanted to subscribe, and that has short instructions as well.
I can not understand it... <O:-)
Many people don't take the time to read, and what they read they don't understand. Trust me Carlos, you have a gift for being able to take in written instructions:)
On the other hand, if you use a decent client email program (Pine, for instance) unsusbscribing just means clicking at the end of the message:
---<Text snipped>--- I would be the first to admit that I don't have a decent client email program. (I am using netscape !!!) The main thing I like about it: it is free.. But it came with a lot of "pop-up" adds. They were driving me nuts. Then, zentara suggested I install a mozilla add-on called "diggler" I did and it cut down the busyness by 1000% and now the message: **** "View all headers" ***** jumps right out at me. Before "diggler" -- even though it was there, I couldn't see it. I suspect the "Yahoo" crowd has a similar problem. Peace, Gar -- PS. When some people didn't have a clue, or their mail box was full I wrote directly to Chris and had him send them an email asking them if they wanted to be removed from the list.... -- __________________________________________________________________ New! I don't know if that makes me happy... :-} Ah, well, I guess for many English is not their first language (it isn't mine), and that would compound the problem.

You are right - I just tried, and it doesn't show the list instructions, just the list signature block - nor does mozilla 1.2.1. Balsa... nope. kmail... neither. And kmail is "list aware", not all programs are.
But it came with a lot of "pop-up" adds. They were driving me nuts.
Huh? The mail part, or the browser? Or are you using some kind of webmail access?
Then, zentara suggested I install a mozilla add-on called "diggler" I did and it cut down the busyness by 1000%
Interesting.
and now the message:
**** "View all headers" *****
jumps right out at me.
Before "diggler" -- even though it was there, I couldn't see it.

By webmail, most probably. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
