PCMCIA on Toshiba 2100 CDS Notebook PC
Thanks Keith for the tips regarding my problems with PCMCIA Cards and SuSE 8.0 Prof. Just to help with troubleshooting I found my old Caldera Linux 2.4 CDROMs and replaced SuSE 8.0 with Caldera. Now with a Modem PCCARD in the upper slot and a FastEthernet PCCARD in the lower slot, both cards were detected. # cardctl status ----------- Socket 0: 5V 16-bit PC Card function 0: [ready] Socket 1: 5V 16-bit PC Card function 0: [ready] The Modem card worked without any further configuration (other than ISP login data) straight away. Hopefully if I get the driver configuration right the ethernet card will be functional too. This is much better than the "Anonymous memory" display I got with the same command on SuSE 8.0 and the lack of response from SuSE Support! Am running SuSE 8.0 Prof. on my Tower PC but keeping it off the Laptop until I find a solution Regards Roy
