Hi James, I'm testing VMWare on SuSE 6.1 and runs just fine. I'm actually very impressed, installation was easy and it all worked first time. I'm curious to know if anybody has done anything with vmware on diskless workstations. all in all a very nice product, the market might be a bit slim but if it proves usable in a slim client environment, that would be very exciting. Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has tried VMware for linux yet? I bought it (the intro price $75), But didn't want to install it until I got a bigger hard drive, upgraded KDM, and do some other stuff. If you have tried it, how does it run under SuSE? Also, I looked around Xfree86.org, but couldn't find the answer. What's the difference in 3.4 and 3.3.1, Is it just a bigfix release?
Thanks James bond225@tiac.net

OK, i will tell you: "VMWare" one use: You could setup 12 virtual linux machines on one real box, network them together and learn about NIS administration ;-) econd use: you can run MS applications under linux. you can winnuke windows from linux and get the blue screen... third use: you can just watch vmware work and say: "this is cool" i like when it counts memory during boot :-) -alexm
