Re: [SLE] hplip-0.9.11 on 10.1
Sorry to bother you again. Just tried the Reply on the ALE (Atlanta Linux Enthusiasts) List and it works right so it must be something in the list setup.
Don't know about evolution, but on KMail, you can hit 'L' and it will reply to the List. Unfortunately, I'm usually reading this at work and am using a webmail client. Neomail, I think is what I'm using. -- k -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Just found it -- we Evolution users can use "Ctrl-L". It's also on the menu (duh, I should have looked): Message -> Reply to List Unfortunately, the option is not on the context sensitive menu. Hence why I didn't try it before (again, duh). -- Bryan J. I have asked for the developers to make this easier when dealing list mails. I suppose someone could pay one of the developers to create a patch for this. I know the Ubuntu crew are paying one for a feature they want in the software, to the tune of about $400.00 U.S., unfortunately it won't be ready for the release of Dapper Drake. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

The logic to detect a mailing list is already in the context menus. I.e., if go to "Create Rule from Message", it lists 3 options for a regular e-mail, a 4th option "Filter on Mailing List" if it's an e-mail from a mailing list. Why couldn't they just add the "Reply To Mailing List" to the context menu then? -- Bryan J. I don't know why, but I didn't even try looking for this in the menus, I went to the "Help" file, which doesn't even say any of this. So much for documentation. I guess help could use help much like the updater will be getting updated after the update. On Fri, 2006-06-09 at 19:15 -0400, Bryan J. Smith wrote:

No bother at all, especially from a fellow Linux user. I'm wondering why I can't update 10.1 from any of the servers like Pacman. Is it me, or is there some bug in the Yast update? I do see the little icon, but since the only sources listed are my CD's, it never sees an update available. Any knowledge on this 10.1 problem? 10.0 updated wonderfully with that red ball in the tray. Denis Ken Schneider wrote:

Please don't top post. The "red ball" never updated Packman as well. Perhaps you have not added packman to the YaST sources properly. Try adding the following as a URL source: http://packman.iu-bremen.de/suse/10.1/ and see if any packages show up in Package Management. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
