[opensuse] OpenOffice update this morning
I installed the openoffice update this morning. (2.4.1.5) Now when i try starting any openoffice option I get the recover document message for an empty document. Clicking recover says recovery successful, then the application closes when you tell it to continue. Has anyone else seen this? -- Russ Linux register user 441463 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Russ, did you file a bug report, so they fix it? It is reported as https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=398244. I am working on it. It is very strange. I see it only on openSUSE-10.3. The workaround is to temporary unistall the OpenOffice_org-kde package. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Even the most advanced equipment in the hands of the ignorant is just a pile of scrap. Thanks will reinstall and try that ASAP. Have three day meeting to attend so it may not be before Monday.

Petr It also happens with the 3.0 Developers build. It only seems to crash one of my XLS format spreadsheets. Good luck regards Ian On Wednesday 11 Jun 2008, Petr Mladek wrote:

I have temporary disabled the fix for xinerama & multiscreen (https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=359955) It caused the crashes. I hope that we will a have better solution the following week. Anyway, the "fixed" package should be available on the OpenOffice.org:STABLE project within next few hours. It did succeed, and it did fix the problem here. Thanks. BTW, (https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=359955) is an internal bug and we (at least I) do not have permission to view it. But I can now open an app, close it, and no more crash. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 10.3 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Yes, here as well. It only sems to happen with one of my spreadsheets that happens to be in XLS format. I have others in the same format and they work okay. I downloaded the 3.0 Developer build and the same thing happens in that as well. Ian On Tuesday 10 Jun 2008, Russ Fineman wrote:
