Getting the following error every day: running daily cronjob scripts SCRIPT: clean_catman, OK. SCRIPT: clean_core, OK. SCRIPT: do_mandb, OK. SCRIPT: logrotate exited with RETURNCODE = 1. SCRIPT: ouput (stdout && stderr) follows error: aaa_base:221 duplicate log entry for /var/log/xdm.errors SCRIPT: logrotate ------- END OF OUTPUT SCRIPT: ntpdate, OK. SCRIPT: ouput (stdout && stderr) follows 30 Apr 00:15:16 ntpdate[1513]: step time server 192.43.244.18 offset -27.176724 sec SCRIPT: ntpdate ------- END OF OUTPUT Getting this Duplicate entry error. Getting this Duplicate entry error. Don't know why. The logrotate.conf file has no reference to xdm at all.
Check /etc/logrotate/aaa_base. You updated to XFree86 4.3, which provides /etc/logrotate/xdm, which has the same info as part of aaa_base. Just remove the part from aaa_base for xdm, or move the xdm file out of that directory.
