I'm trying to share my printer using standard TCP/IP printing over a network, but I'm unable to figure out how to do it. I couldn't find anything in the documentation. What do I need to do to share my printer using TCP/IP? Thanks in advance.
With 8.0 we used Yast 2>edit printers>add>Prefilter queue for a LPD forwarding queue (if the printer has it's own IP) and Yast 2>edit printers>add>Forwarding queue to a remote LPD if the printer was connected to a computer on the lan. Hope that this helps, Steve On Saturday 28 September 2002 12:24, Z_God wrote:

I got the second situation (printer connected to computer on lan). The computer with the printer is running SuSE 7.3. I tried to set up the client (which is indeed running 8.0 btw.) using your method, but when I press the test button, it says there is a problem. I beleave I still need to set some stuff up on the computer with the printer to make it work. Op zaterdag 28 september 2002 13:19, schreef steve:
