Have a look;
I meant what changed in *forums.opensuse.org* in recent hours that I am now locked out of logging in with 2.53.14 on the forums by
Unfortunately, your browser is unsupported. Please switch to a supported browser to view rich content, log in and reply.
I have no interest in "rich content", only using the forums as I was able 24 hours ago. I tried 2.53.15 before remembering the official version doesn't support iso9601, so restored profile backup taken immediately before first start with 2.53.15, and reverted to Buc's 2.53.14 that supports iso9601. What does any of the above have to do with the thread subject?

Wrong-headed web design arbitrarily polluting the online space with ever more widgets and ghee-whiz that doesn't contribute anything to the exchange of content -- will be its downfall. Simply browsing the repositories is a painful experience unless you use gwdg.de an get the original indexed listing. In fact, Felix has made it a point to watch it in Firefox.
On the contrary, my #3 thread post explained how I made SeaMonkey work in the forums again. The intimacy between SM browser and SM mail is indispensable to how I work, while FF's Chrome wannabe UI is awful, and reason enough to use SM as primary browser. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. IME, it is only the opensuse.org repos that presentED the problem via their grossly inefficient TABLES HTML structure that includes multiple URIs per line item. It's well-known in developer circles that huge tables are Mozilla browsing products' bane. opensuse.org was maximizing the detriment of the problem until it introduced the current selectable length subset formatting with search box to do focused scanning. Others besides gwde.de such as http://mirror.mia11.us.leaseweb.net/opensuse/ are orders of magnitude more responsive than opensuse.org was. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. Apparently there's no need for that message, or blocking SeaMonkey. I created general.useragent.override.forums.opensuse.org;Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0 preference, and deleted all forums.opensuse.org cookies, and it's working again in 2.53.14. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. Have you read this? https://www.discourse.org/faq/#browser According to the web source, this is the basis for the exclusion of seamonkey from support. But, I can't help but wonder if this is in contradiction to the fact that seamonkey is an official package. I would be very interested to know the response of OpenSUSE. According to the web source, this is the basis for the exclusion of seamonkey from support.
But, I can't help but wonder if this is in contradiction to the fact that seamonkey is an official package.
I would be very interested to know the response of OpenSUSE.

I don't use the forums but this kind of nonsense annoys me. The message appears to be generated by the Discourse forum software (that's where the links go) so maybe that got updated. The Discourse explanation is exceedingly unhelpful https://www.discourse.org/about#browser What are the minimum browser requirements? Discourse is designed for the next 10 years of the Internet, so the minimum browser requirements are high. Discourse supports the latest, stable releases of all major browsers and platforms: Microsoft Edge Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox Apple Safari But I don't think that's correct. I don't think the latest stable release of Firefox is even well-defined. Let alone whether they really mean that. At least you can still read the forums with an older browser; it's just posting that is prevented.

I was going to check if we'd done an update, but I had trouble logging in. Felix' solution looks good though, sounds like a wiki/support page coming up. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-1.6°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes (2016 - present) We're hiring - https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Heroes
