According to the website Gnome 1.4 for SuSE is on their ftp server. Does anyone know where on the server it is? And perhaps some comments from those that have installed it - install considerations, impressions, etc...?! Thanx in Advance. Cheers. Curtis

Thanx in Advance.

Just download the installer and run it. It willd download the correct packages for you. If you want Gnome 1.4 it's on SuSE's FTP. It's not Ximian branded but it is Gnome 1.4 and it works in 7.1. Ximian still hasn't bothered to make 7.1 packages, although they made packages for the now way obsolete 6.3 release..go figure. -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- If two men agree on everything, you can be sure that only one of them is doing the thinking.

Maybe already having the .spec files from Ximian 1.2.x helped... But agreed, using forced 6.4 intended RPMs on 7.1 (as I am for 1.2.x) isn't ideal... -- James Ogley, Unix System Administrator, Pinnacle.Net james.ogley@pinnacle.co.uk +44 20 8731 3619 Listening to the sound of the coming rain... *********************************************************************** CONFIDENTIALITY.
