B = Boot S = ? (System maybe?)
As for config variables you will need to look at etc/sysconfig and the subdirs thereof. In the sysconfig dir you should see files like
<???>.<your_app_you_are_trying_to_get_running>
Please look at the printed manual at the "boot concept" section to get familiar with the changes they made.
Well it seems that the printed manual does not explain what I need to know. What was your problem ??. I would have preferred to have Yast1 back again :-)

Hi Kevin.
I have the runlevel set to "Full multiuser with network".
The sendmail is set to 3 and 5.
What does "B" and "S" mean ?.
Do you think the culprit is to be found here ??.
