Hello everyone, I want to create a stock management system and was wondering about barcode scanners. I would need a scanner that would work on both Linux and Windows, be easy to setup, and would work with CGI/Perl. Any suggestions? Thanks, Geraint.

The "wedge" type that plug between the keyboard and the computer have worked very well for us, we've been running the packing line at our factory with Java programs running under Linux this way for about three years now (they scan a job ticket and an AS/400 returns SKU information). -- ======================================================= Glenn Holmer (gholmer@ameritech.net) ------------------------------------------------------- Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.
