I seem to recall mention of something like this, but don't recall if it was this list or not. Is there a config file similar to the config files .bashrc .profile .xinitrc that executes when a user attempts to logout of the current session? -- S.Toms - tomas@primenet.com - www.primenet.com/~tomas SuSE Linux v6.3+ - Kernel 2.2.14 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Now I just have to decide if thats the best place to initiate the save of the mixer settings or if theres an equivalent to the .xinitrc routine which may be the better place for it as I don't use sound outside of X. You happen to know if theres an equivalent of the .xinitrc for logging out? an> Alvaro an> an> ps If you've "Learning the Bash Shell" take a look at p.59 an> -- S.Toms - tomas@primenet.com - www.primenet.com/~tomas SuSE Linux v6.3+ - Kernel 2.2.14 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

No, sorry... but this might interest you. If you use "Sound Mixer Panel" (a KDE Multimedia utility, I believe) and you press ctrl+1 it saves the current settings, ctrl+2 will save other settings and so on. Then to change between settings, say classical and rock, you just have to press 1 or 2.
