[opensuse] Is there a way of "governing" that "Software Updates" pop-up ?
I know I can switch it off (we always do), but I get annoyed with it popping up every 30mins when I've already closed it. Is there no "leave up for X min" option? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (19.1°C) http://www.cloudsuisse.com/ - your owncloud, hosted in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

If you're talking about Plasma, you can go into the System Tray settings and uncheck Software Updates. gumb -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Yeah, I know that :-) I was hoping there might some option in-between that would let me say "only check once a day" or at least "automatically disappear after 5mins". -- Per Jessen, Zürich (27.2°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Well I've had mine off for the last couple of releases, but I don't understand why the setting wouldn't be adhered to. When you right-click the system tray icon and go to Configure, the 'Daily', 'Weekly' or 'Monthly' Check Interval should be obeyed. I suppose that when you have updates that you haven't applied, it will keep nagging you until they all are, and then finally leave you alone. What about when you go to Configure System Tray -> Entries, do you have Software Updates set to Auto or Hidden? gumb -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Yeah, I have it set to Daily, but it keeps popping every 30mins. (approx). -- Per Jessen, Zürich (21.2°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
