OK, I guess that's volunteers to keep news.opensuse.org into a better state than agreed upon ??? No programming involved, no knowledge of C.
Please, we are talking about www.opensuse.org, not news.opensuse.org.

Anyone who wants to suggest changes to www.opensuse.org can send pull requests to https://github.com/openSUSE/landing-page Anyone who wants to suggest changes to https://www.opensuse.org/searchPage/ (which would make more sense as an information portal for existing users, as it is the default homepage on every opensUSE machine) can send pull requests to https://github.com/openSUSE/searchPage Anyone who doesn't do either of the above and continues to whine on an inappropriate mailingilst where the people responsible for the above aren't listening, are free to do so but should realise the futility of such an exercise. It is probably worth also considering that futile "discussions" (aka long threads with a preponderance of complaints with little benefit to anyone) do the reputation of this mailinglist as a support channel any favours. A negative reputation is likely to be factored in when the projects leadership and sysadmins next do their a regular infrastructure review. We all have a responsibility to ensure this mailniglist serves its intended purpose for the openSUSE Project. And in that ilk, this will be the last post I will be making to this list to provide information about ongoing developments or how to contribute something within openSUSE. This is not the appropriate venue for these discussions, the Projects have better established venues for such discussions. I will be keeping my posts on this list now strictly providing direct support for specific user questions (ie. not developer, tester, contributor questions) regarding the current openSUSE distributions. Those are developer oriented pages, likely appropriate, because it is the developers who create the changes that constitute items that should be news. Much as I might like to "contribute", that rules me out for two reasons: 1-as a non-developer I'm not privy to what would constitute news 2-even if I was, I've yet to figure out how to accomplish anything I'd like to do on github (not the least of which one of the reasons for is its dismal styling: http://fm.no-ip.com/Inet/grayurls.html). -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
