On my machine I have a changing hostname of the display. At the moment it is dhcppc3 but yesterday after a reboot it was dhcppc29-3895. Where can I change it so that the hostname of the display is set by me?. -- Linux User 183145 using LXDE and KDE4 on a Pentium IV , powered by openSUSE 12.1 (i586) Kernel: 3.1.0-1.2-default LXDE WM & KDE Development Platform: 4.7.4 (4.7.4) 12:20pm up 11:41, 2 users, load average: 0.69, 0.29, 0.30 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

You can set it in Yast > Network Settings. However, if you have it configured to get the host name via DHCP, then it's determined by the DHCP server. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
