I am having the same problem, however, I found some pilot tools on the SuSE DVD and installed them. I then got jpilot to work, but still have not gotten Evolution to work with the pilot. What tools did you download from gnome? Apparently the gnome-pilot tools are not included with the evolution.rpm. I did not see them on the SuSE site under the Gnome downloads so I downloaded it from a gnome site and installed. So far I have an option in the configuration panel for the pilot, but I can not seem to figure out how to tell Evolution I want to sync with the Palm Pilot or even how to start the sync. Good luck.
