I believe there was a thread about DVD's a while back on this list. You might do a search for it. If memory serves right, I think there was no problem reading regular CD's, but they it wouldn't read the DVD disks. I don't remember if this was solved or not.

Apparently there are incompatibilities with the DVD and certain drives. SuSE were nice enough to replace the DVD with the CDs when things didn't work out. For the record it didn't work with my Creative Encore 2X DVD Drive. And I remember someone ahving problems with a DVD-RAM drive. I think a panasonic drive, LF-D101 springs to mind. Otherwise... Normal DVD operation works well in 6.3. Drivers for my Dxr2 card work perfectly!
