Try cmake (http://www.cmake.org), it is very easy. It is the system used by KDE. Hugo Costelha -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If it's C/C++ code, then GCC can automatically build the Makefile dependencies for you (flag -M or -MM). A simple Makefile which defines compiler settings and targets etc. could then be written by hand. If your code needs to be compiled on different platforms and you need some system-dependent settings, then autoconf/automake might be the best choice. autoscan might assist you in generating a rudimentary configure.in. There is a nice introduction which can be found at: http://www.suse.de/~sh/automake/ Cheers, Th. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
