This may seem like a basic thing, but if you want a command line thing like mounting a share to run on startup, what file does that go in? I tried the fstab file, but it didn't seem to work. Thanks Rich
This is odd. It is the third time I think in this afternoon that SuSE hangs when installing at the section checking system. The symthoms are that the lights at the keyboard go out and the light of my unit of 3 1/2 disks stays on forever, and there it stays...... And I have made successfull installations in other pcs with the same software. Any ideas of how to solve this, a way of bypassing that?, anything please.. My installation (now I dont put manual at boot) freezes at: starting hardware detection.. ide.1.2 and it always does at the same point and the light of the 3 1/2 unit stays on forever. Have tried in three machines with same hardware now. What is this all about. Raul _______________________ Raul Gutierrez Segales oxford@campoalto.edu.py

I had a similar problem after putting in a PCI sound card. -- freezing at IDE detection. I suspected an interrupt conflict, so I moved the sound card along one slot. Problem solved!! Hope this helps -- -- Never trust a man in a suit -- cll
