have a Pentium III 450 with 196 MB of RAM. It is sitting in a remote location with no network drop in sight. I have access to a 3Com 11 a/b/g PCI wireless card (3CRDAG675). I am looking to install the latest possible version of SuSE (or whatever the best version of Linux for such a set up might be) on this box as it will be used as a learning toy and a secondary Internet browsing, email checking station for me at work. Can someone tell me where I can get a boot image that will load enough info (including the drivers for this wireless card) so that I can ftp install the rest? Thanks in advance, -- d33p th1nk3r

There is no yet ftp install for 9.3. You may try 9.2 instead: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/9.2/boot/boot.iso I'm not sure about the drivers for the wireless card though. Sunny

OK, so now I have the boot ISO, where do I tell the machine to go to install the rest? -- d33p th1nk3r
Could you help me to setup a mail server with a no-ip.com account on my machine ? I would try using yast for configuring the MTA ! Thank you. -- Laurent Renard

On the boot screen, if you look at the bottom, there are all sorts of choices you can make. If you hit 'F3' you get to select the source of installation. Select 'ftp' there, and then hit installation. You should see a popup asking you about server IP, directory name, username and password
