turning off kernel selection graphic
greets. i'd like to turn off the graphical kernel selector on one of my machines here, replacing it with the plain old boot: prompt. is this something fairly easily done? -- dep http://www.linuxandmain.com -- outside the box, barely within the envelope, and no animated paperclip anywhere.

I think removing "menu-scheme = Wg:kw:Wg:Wg" and vga line from /etc/lilo.conf running /sbin/lilo should do it. -- -ckm

I think you also need to do rm /boot/boot.b ln -s /boot/boot-text.b /boot/boot.b and running /sbin/lilo to make the changes take effect of course :) //Anders
