DHCP (again) - Let's start from scratch
OK, I am still having problems connecting to my on campus network. Contraty to what I thoug, the problem wasn't fixed before. Let's start from scratch. My NIC is a 3Com pcmcia. I set it up with Yast, it recognized it by itslef. How can I check that it is actually running? I have been playing with the dchp settings and I am not sure if I am missing something. I am using the dhcpcd client. If I run "ifconfig" I get an "inet addr: xx.xx.x.xx", which I understand is my IP address but I am not able to browse the net. What settings should I check?, what are the defualts settings for the SuSE.config? dhcp server is from the other OS provider. Ricardo. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
