localhost:80 Error - This host is not configured as server for the SuSE help system
SuSE Help used to work. Now, "This host is not configured as server for the SuSE help system" appears on the help startup page. How does one configure httpd to handle the Help System? I also get a "connection to localhost refused" when I attempt to start Webmin 0.90. What port do you start the webmin webserver on? -- Mads Martin Joergensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort." -- A. P. J.
Hi! Regarding the help system problem, have you tried the following? Launch Yast2 -> System -> RC-Config Editor module, then under Network-Services/Docserver group, set the following variables: DOC_ALLOW localhost DOC_HOST localhost DOC_SERVER yes (this can be done via the Yast2 GUI, but also from Yast1) Generally SuSE Help system works for me (I say 'generally', because, for instance, I can't access man pages through it, althoug I can do this either from KDE's help center or by typing man:xxx in the Location field, in Konqueror - I don;t know if this is a bug or a feature of SusE Help centre in 7.3) Hope that helps. This fixed SuSE Help.
Webmin on 127.0.0.1:10000 now works, but localhost:10000 still does not. Not important.

Hi, Ed: I have the following: DOC_ALLOW = Local DOC_HOST = Localhost This setting gives me both: http://localhost:10000 http://127.0.0.1:10000 hth Tom
