Has dhcpd been depreciated for Leap 42.3? I see that the Leap docs claim it is the one to use. But I do not see it for Leap 42.3 (as an official package). https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/reference/html/book.opensuse.ref... https://software.opensuse.org/package/dhcpcd -- Roger Oberholtzer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Would the package be "dhcp-client"? Because that one does exist. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

I guess it is dhcp-server. The Leap docs say it is called dhcpd. The docs to which I referred are mixing package names and program names. -- Roger Oberholtzer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I think dhcpcd stands for "dhcp client daemon", whereas dhcpd is the "standard" daemon, server daemon. It would be a documentation bug, then. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)
