I fixed the dualing package error, and have removed netscape and shop-aware. But now I have some questions / concerns. Why is apt-get telling me to force the installs through? At least that is what it seems -f means. I thought the benefit of apt-get was it took care of the dependencies for you. Can i uninstall things apt-get got? Will they show up in kpackage or gnorpm? The reason i ask is my system doesn't like nvidia's latest kernel, and just in case it gets downloaded can i remove it? Is there a list of the updates available, like in YOU,? I haven't installed synaptic yet so that might cover it. Does apt-get upgrade, or install other versions? I want to try gnome2, and the new kde's but i want to keep gnome and default kde too. Is this possible? How? thanks.
