Re: [SLE] KSynaptics with Gnome
----- Original Message ----
Given that I'm running KSynaptics under Gnome, under SuSE 10.1, how can I get my preferred configuration to be "persistent" or at least have it automatically restored at login?
The supplied version of KSynaptics on the cd/dvd (0.2.4) is broken in that respect. If you add: ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/home:/cboltz/SUSE_Linux_10.1 ---------------------------------- Hmm, this isn't doing what I expected yet :( I downloaded the RPM from this site (ksynaptics-0.3.1-6.1.i586.rpm), and it installed without error. However, I don't have anything in my menus, the toolbar, nor on my desktop, and when I search for it, I don't find anything either. Asking RPM what this file provided just shows me a bunch empty directories and a large number of files that appear to be localized messages (they're all under some directory called LC_MESSAGES, which in turn is under a directory named for a locale). Running find from the root doesn't show anything up that looks tempting either. Did this install correctly? And, if so, how do I run it?
