[opensuse] 11.0 Bug or Feature: mysql-gui-tool doesn't install query-browser, admin or workbench
Listmates, In all suse releases since at least 10.0 installing mysql-gui-tools has always installed the logical dependencies of mysql-query-browser, mysql-administrator, and mysql-workbench. In 11.0 all that is installed is the common graphics and dialogs for each of the applications. Is the package manager in 11.0 or the repository missing something? Is this a new less-useful feature? -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E. Listmates,
In all suse releases since at least 10.0 installing mysql-gui-tools has always installed the logical dependencies of mysql-query-browser, mysql-administrator, and mysql-workbench. In 11.0 all that is installed is the common graphics and dialogs for each of the applications.
Is the package manager in 11.0 or the repository missing something? Is this a new less-useful feature?
I checked the spec file and see no changes in this area between 10.2 and 11.0. It's the other way around: mysql-query-browswer needs mysql-gui-tools... So, if this was indeed the case in previous version - or you like to see it, - please use our bugzilla, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Director Platform / openSUSE, aj@suse.de SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Andreas, You are right as usual. I'll put in a feature request. The gui-tools don't do anyone much good unless the actual tools are installed. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
