When init tries to start NFS service on my 6.3 and 6.4 machines the nfsserver script runs rpc.klockd. It returns "lockdsvc: Invalid argument" . I have not found lockdsvc as a program on machines. I have not checked the source to rpc.klockd to see how it is calling it. To setup NFS service to start on these machines I used YaST to enable all the nework services: inetd, portmap and NFS server. TIA for any help or guesses, Kurtrr
Hi Kurt, Are you using the user space version or the kernel version. I had problems with the Kernel version in SuSE 6.3 and found the user space version works OK. You will find the user space version under (n) on the CDrom. Regards, Graham Smith ---------------------------------- On 14-Mar-2001 Kurt R. Rahlfs wrote:
