(I seem to remember the discussion earlier, but could not find it
quickly in the archive).
I just installed SuSE 8.2 on my laptop. I have both a built-in Ethernet
port and a PCMCIA wireless. Somehow, the routing table is missing the
default route when both interfaces are active.

If I remove the wireless card, then the routing table returns to
something normal.

Conversely if I remove the wire, the default route shows correctly.
Rhe system is confused because of two interfaces on the same subnet. In
my case, I just wanted to set up the wireless.
