[opensuse] Hylafax and faxgetty in 13.1
I wonder, how I can get "faxgetty" (from hylafax package) to work in openSUSE 13.1 with Systemd. Unfortunately I have currently no testing system with a modem. Is there any preconfigured Systemd script for faxgetty? The documentation within hylafax package seems to be outdated because it only describes the setup for sysv-init. /etc/init.d/hylafax: [...] # This init script is the preferred way to start HylaFAX, # but does not, by default, activate any modems. Consult # the faxgetty(8) and faxmodem(8) man pages for more info. [...] man faxgetty: [...] One faxgetty should be run for each facsimile modem on a machine.faxgetty is typically started by init(8C). [...] Greetings, Björn -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Greetings, Björn http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/howto/install.php is your friend - specifically search for systemd on that page.

Thank you both. I created a Systemd configuration file like described on http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/howto/install.php. The Systemd jobs seems to work, but of course faxgetty fails because I have no modem to test here. Anyway, I created a bug report, because I think, (example) configurations and /usr/sbin/faxsetup adaptions for Systemd should be included in the Hylafax package itself. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=856906 Greetings, Björn -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
